Someone with experience please, yeast infection treatment?

Okay I do not currently have a doctor, but have been suffering certain symptoms and after researching them found that these symptoms are exactly described a yeast infection. Although it is not completely intolerable or unbearable, it is annoying and I would like it to go away. After researching I found that Monistat can treat this, however there can be more side effects than the use of something natural. The most recommended natural treatment seemed to be plain yogurt. Someone with experience please let me know the BEST OPTION for someone with a first time yeast infection.
