Writing stories : Should I continue?

I'm not sure I completely get the whole idea behind why you're concerned with continuing to write - whether it's because someone commented on your writing or whether you're concerned about the topics you've been covering - but either way, I see no reason for you to quit if it's something you enjoy. Part of writing is exploring ideas that are challenging, pushing ourselves to reach into the deepest, darkest parts of the human psyche and pulling out something raw and real. If people have a problem with what you're writing - to be completely candid - screw 'em. It's that simple.

Why are there people disrespecting Autistic people?

I know....people are so ignorant these days, and it breaks my heart...I have a younger brother who is autistic, and I know quite a few other kids who are too...and they really are just like anyone else...they just appear to be different because they dont communicate/learn the same way as us....but its so sad. I wish that people would have a hear and learn to accept each other for who we are, and realize we are all brothers and sisters of God, who just want one thing...to be loved, no matter what.

16th birthday party ideas!?

Is it shallow of me to leave ugly men alone if they are the ones who always cheated on me?

I've never been about looks, but it seems like the unattractive ones (I only say they were unattractive because other people told me they thought they were) were the ones who always cheated on me. The couple handsome ones I had were always being stared at by other women and sometimes even approached and flirted with by women in my presence (which I thought was hilarious because they weren't even paying attention to those women) and I never had a cheating problem with them - just other intolerable issues. But, I'm starting to think...maybe "craig b" (YA poster) is right. Maybe people do cheat because they need someone of the opposite sex to tell them that they are special, that they've got it. The tendons on the muscles to your kneecap are tight to cause the pain you are having. The tight tendons make the muscle shorter so it pulls the tendon up on and into the knee to give it all that pain. As these tight tendons don't show up on scans or tests they go undiagnosed and that leaves the dr.'s with cutting as a solution rather than just freeing up the tendons. That means they have no idea of how to free them up as well. I know a gal who has MS and was going around in a walker because of the pains in her knees, all the specialists she had seen told her it was arthritis so she was trying to live with it. I freed up her tendons in her knees and she got up and walked around without the walker. So there is more out there to be found than the dr.'s have in their bag of tricks. That is just one of the many I have done for relief in the knees.

Question about ssh and rsync?

I want to rsync some files from my mailserver to a remotehost for back up. I want to allow rsync to use ssh to securely transfer the files. I have generated a rsa key pair(on the localhost) and exported the public key to the remotehost. When I issue the rsync command at the command line (on the localhost) it works fine. However, if I put the commands in the crontab (directly) or have crontab call a bash script... it doesn't work. I have tested the use of crontab (both ways) without trying to transfer to a remotehost and they work fine. The permissions look ok. Why won't this work?

You supervise your pets and as long as they are on your property that man has no reason to complain or try to "defend" himself. Dental Pain after tooth extraction. Going back to dentist is complicated?

I had surgery done on the sixth for a lower left tooth extraction. The dentist sent me home with ibuprofin and hydrocodone. Well, those two are gone and after the numbing wore off, Even the hydrocodone wasn't enough. The pain is almost unbearable and always constant with occasional throbbing. I moved counties and can not go back to the original dentist that performed the tooth extraction, plus i'm very poor and do not have the gas either to go 50 miles to the only dentist that takes state and government insurance if i still was in that county. The pain is so bad!!! The dentist told me to quit with the cold and start with the heat compresses. This pain clouds my thoughts and makes me so irritable at everything!!! plus, I'm so sick with so much that its all quite intolerable. i went to the E.R and my PCP. They said theres nothing they can do for dry socket. And I was wondering if it was normal to have such a huge and deep hole at the extraction site still after so many days passed. And if it was normal to use a drill to get the part of my tooth that was stuck in my gums after the majority snapped and broke off. The headaches won't go away, Dr. says I now have sinusitis. There was a deep infection in which I took antibiotics for way before the surgery. like a month or so before. I tried ambesol and packing it myself with clove oil. I'm to the point of constant tears and irribility from agony now. in a scale of one to ten, i give this an 8!!!!!!! and I am one to have an exceptional pain tolerance. Please, does anyone have any helpful suggestions or advice?

I'm moving from my apartment solely because of the excessive 5am noise made by the employees of the landscape business next door. I'm fine with regular 'get ready for the day at work' noise, but between them 1) turning on the radio then screaming to hear each other over it, 2)banging pipes, wheelbarrows, etc. 3) yelling "whoop"ing, has become intolerable. Will new running shoes help with knee/foot pain?

I recently started running (about six weeks ago). It's VERY slow progress as I've never been a runner, so it's three days a week, short (5-8 minute) runs with walks in between. I'm experiencing some knee pain, and some mild foot pain after running and the next day. I've done other forms of exercise in the past (yoga, free weights, etc.) but I've been slacking off for the past couple of years, so I haven't really done much of anything besides walking. My running shoes are an older pair that were a hand-me-down from a friend. Asking experienced runners out there: will a new pair of running shoes help with the pain, or is it just something that is to be expected and it will get better with time and practice? It's not intolerable, but if I could lessen it by buying new shoes, then I will. Any input is appreciated.

I have been physically cheated on numerous times by my ex spouse. It HURTS!!! I don't consider "emotional cheating" as cheating per se. They can say this or that to the other person, BUT to be actually touching" another person to me hurts far worse. At our last counseling mtg. the counselor diagnosed him as a "womanizer" & was told to get counseling for that along with his alcoholism! So I won backastage passes to a concert on saturday and they told me to wait next to the backstage entrance and the Bands manager would meet me there between 7-8pm to give me the passes... Backpacking vs Luxury?

Hey! So I'm going on a trip pretty soon to London and Paris, it's going to be hopefully amazing, I'm planning on traveling in my style which is always to stay at nice hotels and be pampered and have really luxurious amenities and eat at the absolute coolest and best places and really live it up as much as I can, I mean hey, you only have one life to live, and I've always traveled this way, always, I've never really ever done any of the backpacking thing, and honestly the idea repulses me a little, I want to take everything in and be comfortable and feel like I'm at peace, and yet a little part of me wonder's, how is it like to backpack though? Like through europe, i mean for the price of a holiday in luxury places you could backpack through all of Europe, yet wouldn't it be uncomfortable? And I just want to hear some opinions, why and why not to backpack and if you like the idea of staying in more luxurious hotels and being pampered alongside your holiday, or if you prefer getting dirty and staying in hostels? What are some arguments and some like opinions on both, I mean it's not really like you see more or less of somewhere just by how you travel, right? And I always see a lot of backpackers always criticizing people who travel luxuriously for not taking in the culture and real life, who says you don't see the culture and life in a luxury hotel? You still go to the same sights, you still get the same place, you just spend it at different places is really all, so why do backpackers bash us so much? Help my girlfriend smells like crap!!?

All of a sudden after a week of going out my gf picked up this disgusting stench. The other day she told me hadn't taken a bath for 5 days. You should try that its really worked for me and my braces dont rub no more. Last night something very odd happened that has happened a few times in the past.. I was watching t.v. and fell asleep. However, I woke up and the remote for my t.v. was out of reach, so in order to turn the t.v. off I "imagined" the remote in my hand and turned the t.v. off. And the t.v. actually turned off..(This was not a dream where you wake up inside of a dream, I am well experienced with those) I realized what i did and I would say I realized I was in a odd conscious state of mind.. No I don't smoke weed, drink.. It was an odd experience. As this time I could confidently control what ever I decided with "my mind".. Desperate for answers...Celiac?

I have had various digestive issues for about ten years. Weight fluctuations, diarrhea, bloody stools, fatigue, terrible gas, abdominal distention, ravenous appetite (I'm 5'8" and barely 125lbs) etc. I was diagnosed with IBS and given several medicines. I got very little relief, but my doctor insisted that I was "just making it worse from stress." Recently, my symptoms became intolerable. It seems that whatever I eat makes me look pregnant. I have bouts of diarrhea and gas that are almost unbearable. I am in college, and my symptoms have interfered with my academics/social life. I don't have the energy to care about a lot of things anymore, and I am apathetic and depressed. Also, I have also lost my period. I have had my ovaries checked. They were fine. I finally saw a GI and he ordered an endoscopy and colonoscopy. He said that everything looked pretty normal, but he took a biopsy of my small intestine to check for damage and drew blood. Dental surgery Tuesday pain still intolerable !?

My body wouldn't sedate during my surgery so after trying for 6 hrs. The dentist had to go in and cut and extract 6 teeth. I havent slept, no sleep at all so ive had to deal with the pain around the clock My face is bruised. My mouth screams when i try to do anything, especially after the 3 day point when i could take out my denture I have one more day of pain meds left. 5 days later and I was going to call dentist and request more b/c this weekend will be hell. Someone told me this could piss my dr and ins company off, but this wasn't the average surgery my dentist is 100 miles away and I'm not sure what to do. I haven't slept since Tuesday morning. I don’t know what to do anymore with my life and it seems so complicated, I want to know how can I get better. I’m in school from 5:50am to about 6:30pm or 7, I’m in the ROTC program, I’m in two teams the drill team and the academic team, I’m in 4 clubs including mock trial, cooking, Allen Texas, and Junior Statesmen of America. I wake up at 5 o’clock or earlier to do my homework, from 6 to 7 I’m in drill practice, and from 7:15 to 3pm I’m in regular school. I took the full schedule which means I take an extra class, after school I go to my clubs, after that I work out and come home at 6 or 7. I get home eat and before I know it I have to go to sleep without doing homework. I hate almost everything u can name, I have no time for girls anymore, I can’t find anyone like me out there in the world. I’m a wana be over achiever because even though I do all of this I still have bad grades in school especially my honors chemistry class that I have failed once and almost failed another time. I try to be a leader in all of my clubs; I haven’t had much success in drill team. My grades in other classes aren’t as bad but I’ve never achieved honor roll. I am going through the exact same thing right now. I am a girl who will be 15 next week and for the last week I have broken out in hives EVERYWHERE. I didn't take a shower one night and the hives were still eerywhere, meaning my soap and shampoo probably didn't cause it. I would take a shower, and take Benedryl. I am still looking for a cure as well and have heard that ice helps, and Cortizone 10 works short term for me. I have a cat litter box question?

I help with a rescue and have 6 cats currently (All spayed and neutored). All the cats have some kind of special needs. I love every one of them dearly they are my four-legged kids LOL. Here is the question what automatic litter box would you say is best for this many cats and depending on what the needs are can have two or three more so let me know please. The six cats will never be able to be adopted so I will keep them unless a proper home is found and where I live that is very slim it would ever happen. i use Linux and Windows and Mac OS X. but motley Linux. my Distro of choice is Pardus. openSUSE is a strong second. i Watch the Linux action show on jupiterbroadcasting. every time Fedora comes up they bash it left and right and they aren't the only ones. out of curiosity. i downloaded and installed Fedara 15. It depends on how well you can pull it off. If you read a lot, you'll find novels where the writer adds a bit of present tense amongst all the past tense. It can work if you can write it well enough. What to do about in-laws?

Hi everybody. I'm having in-law trouble. I found out not to long ago that my husband's father hates my guts. It came as a shocker, because I honestly don't know what I did wrong. I thought everything was peachy to tell ya the truth. Ever since I found out, I have been publically bashed on facebook by his family. Before all this I put up with their little snide comments because I just thought that, that is who they are, and they don't mean anything by it. Come to find out, my farther in law has been talking to all of my husband's ex's and wanting my husband to get back with one of them. I don't know if I can keep taking it. My husband went one month without talking to his farther, but now they are close again. I can't help but feeling this is betrayal. When my husband asked him why he was doing all this, he didn't even give him an answer, so I STILL don't know what I did wrong. If I bring up what his family did to me, it ends up us yelling at each other. My husband recently said he wants his family at the birth of our child, and that is where my problem is. Why should they be able to come in at the end and be treated with respect and dignity when they have caused so much pain my entire pregnancy? The only way my husband would know what this feels like would be if my family treated him the way his family has treated me, but that would never happen. So my main question is..... am I being unreasonable by not wanting them at the hospital for the birth our child? Am I being selfish? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Sororities don't typically do scholarships or funding. Maybe you can work out a payment plan with the vice president of finance for whatever sorority and also ask for donations from business... for example, sororities are known to have lots of gear (hats, t-shirts, bags, pants, sunglasses, towels, etc...) so you could ask businesses to pay $25-$100 to put their logo on such and such an item and then bring down dues for the whole sorority or take a larger chunk for yourself if no one's helping you. Or beg the parents for some money and offer to pay them back over time. I know how it goes - I pay for my dues myself and there are people in my co-ed fraternity who are spoiled brats and have everything handed to them. You could also look into a co-ed fraternity, I love the one I'm in and have gotten that family bond that you seem to be looking for. Dues are a fraction of the cost of social sororities. (At ASU where I attend I pay $300 a year in dues, for sororities it's around $1400 a year)

Do I have strabismus, amblyopia or something else and can anything be done for what I have?

I have always had some issues with my eyes starting since I was very young. I have had a surgery to correct what was diagnosed as lazy eye when I was 6 months old (used a patch then too) and again when I was 3 years (do not believe I used a patch this time). The surgeries never seemed to have much effect at all if any really and I continued using mostly only my right eye. As I did this, the vision in my left eye worsened as my eyes did not work together. I remember around age 6 not being able to even look at my nose with both eyes at the same time no matter how hard I tried, but only with using one eye at a time. When I was about 12 or so I began using contact lenses instead of glasses because of intolerable headaches caused by using the glasses. My left, weak eye could be corrected properly with both the glasses and lenses but when the lense I used for my left eye was stronger and gave better vision than my right eye, I began to use only this eye instead! After a few years my eyes began to not tolerate the lenses and would burn continuously when I used them, even when trying different brands and thus I have went without for a few years. So recently, (I am now 19 years) the matter came to my attention again when watching a 3D movie. I noticed that I somehow can now use both eyes at the same time if I consciously try to (I can look at both sides of my nose at the same time now too!) but because the vision in my left eye is so poor, I get a horrible headache when my eyes try to focus and merge the two images from each eye when one image, from the left eye, is so poor quality. I can however manage this when what I am looking at is close to my face and preferably does not contain too many words to read. At a mall a few weeks ago I tried the new 3DS and was able to see the images as intended so I can at least to some extent perceive depth for I notice a lack of this depth when the 3D option is turned off which I tested. So I am wondering what could be going on. Are these conditions fluid and can be corrected or at least improved through vision therapy or something of the sort? I would imagine so since my eye abilities have changed drastically throughout my life. Also, would it be a possibility for my eyes to be corrected through surgery to give the possibility of training them to work together normally? It feels as if my eyes want to work together as I can make them do so even for long distances and even though the poor eyesight of my left eye gives me a headache when doing this, the eyes seem reluctant to go back to using only the right eye again. Need legal help about a fight?

So my aunt recently called me asking for help (I took criminal Justice in school for a year). She said she got into a fight at Wal Mart with another woman. The story goes like this. My aunt was walking and she noticed some guy following here, she finally turned around and asked why the guy was following her.He said she was beautiful and handed her a business card. My aunt was not interested and said thank you. As she turned around the Guy's Baby mother came around and cursed my aunt out. She got into my aunt's face, put her hand in her face and everything. My aunt walked away into the bathroom to calm down. As she leaves the bathroom, the babymother is waiting for her to exit so she can talk more trash to her, she put her hand in my aunt's face and continued to curse her out. My aunt retaliated after that and there was a fight. My thing was, that my aunt was provoked, before she walked away and after she walked away. I was also considering emotional distress in this sort of matter, as the baby mother continued to bash my aunt. But I am no lawyer. can somebody please help me. Mind you this is all on video camera . I have been having family relationship problems for many years. It is becoming intolerable for me to have to continue to argue and debate my family. It upsets me that my sister/brother allows their child to be disrespectful and rude to me. They make excuses for their behavior and my nephew/niece can talk like this too me without any discipline as my sister/brother gets satisfaction seeing me upset. I have adult children who just pretend I am not here and I barely get to see my grandchildren. Part of me wants to leave and just run away. I just don't want to regret something else, which may not be possible being that I tend to get blamed anyhow for everything. I am fearful for leaving away for good, because I worry that my grand kids will hold it against me for leaving. What if they need me? What should I do? How much longer must I tolerate this family who can not stand me. They ration the water I use, in the hopes they somehow get me to pay them more money for living here. Why can't I install infinity blade?

I've done the cydia thing and uninstalled appsync 4.0 and installous 4 then revolted my itouch then installed appsync 4.0 then installous 4 which in turn fixed all apps and made it where I could install angry birds and Tom Clancy flight but no matter what i do I can't install infinity blade in either of the versions and none of the hosts seem to have a file that can be installed. Downloads fine but can't install for invalid IPA and other apps DO install anyone know why infinity blade won't install period and what I can do?

I am twenty years old, and I am almost a senior in college. I essentially have no friends whatsoever. I only managed to procure a minuscule amount of friends in high school, but only one of them still occasionally converses with me. However, it is a chore for me to tolerate her because she has no job, no education, no ambitions, etc. All she does is leech off the welfare system and hardworking citizens and smoke marijuana or drink alcoholic beverages all day. The rest of my previous friends from high school are pregnant, already have reproduced, or are in jail and or awaiting arrest. Throughout my years in college, I attempted to establish friendships, but no potential friends corresponded to my expectations. Elaborating on the aforementioned statement, all the potential friends I meet disgust me to the point where they become intolerable, as they are merely concerned with drinking, partying, and sexual escapades. I attempted to compromise with my expectations, and I attended several inane college parties, which I still fail to comprehend the point of. Through extensive research and observation of the typical behavior of my peers, I discovered that my apathetic attitude toward alcohol and my virginity/modesty are social hindrances because they are apparently not considered “cool”, as they are postulated as snobbishness instead. Is there any manner in which to procure friends who are not losers without compromising my values or should I prepare for a life of solitude? I do not intend to sound sardonic or acerbic, but I am frustrated that I cannot procure at least one decent friend.

I think if the girl was aware of his situation, she'd be a lot more open to it than if she didn't know. If she didn't know, she might think that he was being rude or cold. The girl that was flirting with him probably thought he was rejecting her, even if that really wasn't his intentions. I think you should talk to the other guys that were bothering them and tell them to let up, it probably didn't help the sitution any. In the future, if something like this happens, maybe you should step in and be like the "middle man." I've seen this a lot with a few guys I know...one is kind of shy and his friend is really outgoing, so the outgoing guy will join in to make things lett awkward at first (if this makes sense? Like if the shy guy is at a loss for words, the other guy will throw something out there to talk about and then step back a little). It sounds to me like it might not have been that he really wanted to focus on the order, but that he either didn't realize that the girl was interested or simply didn't know what to do so he tried to ignore it. Maybe give him some tips on dealing with the ladies and just be there for him. I think it would be hard to date someone like that, but if I was aware of how he was I would give him a chance. He'd have to warm up to me though eventually and not act so antisocial around me. I know that would probably take time.
